Sally Baca

Sally Baca, 78, passed away on September 29, 2025 in Carrizozo, New Mexico. She was born on March 3, 1947 in Carrizozo, New Mexico to Vicente Aragon and Bernadette Zamora.

Sally was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, Tia and friend. Sally is described by family and friends as always caring for others whether it was tending to their medical needs or cooking for them. Sally is also described as a hard worker holding various jobs in her lifetime including a Lead Worker at Belco industries, waitress, and home health aide. In Sally's spare time, she enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, dancing and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her son, Duane (Kelly) Zamora of Carrizozo, NM; daughter, Luana Goss (Darvas) of Phoenix, AZ and 5 grandchildren: Chaz Zamora, Scott Zamora (Camille) of Boise, ID, Antoinette Goss of Phoenix, AZ, Nicco Osborn (Ryan) of Irvine, CA, and Sydney Zamora of Ruidoso, NM and 4 great-grandchildren: Rylan and Lincoln Zamora and Sadie and Dottie Zamora, all of Boise, ID. She is also survived by her sister, Priscilla Romo of Capitan, NM and LeeRoy Zamora Sr. (Frances) of Carrizozo and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Aragon and Bernadette Zamora; her husband, David Baca; her brothers Ted Zamora, Nazario Zamora, Ruben Zamora, Ramon Aragon and sisters, Maria Zamora and Juana Baca and her son, Nathan Scott Zamora.

The family will greet friends on October 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Rita Catholic Church with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Carrizozo, New Mexico.
